The Mountain Center's

Summer Youth Program 2023

summer youth program

The Summer Youth Program is a nature based experience that supports positive social connection. Programs provide space for participants to build healthy relationships with themselves, others, and nature. Youth participate in team-building activities, games, hiking, ropes course elements, art, and creative/free play. Through these activities participants establish community, learn healthy conflict resolution skills, and gain self-regulation skills. We strive to build self awareness, strengthen resilience, and increase self confidence within all participants.

HOW IT'S PAID FOR

The program is free to all participants because of special grant funding by CYFD. As a non-profit organization we rely on generous donations from the community to transform lives and build resilience in the groups we work with. If you are able, we encourage you to support The Mountain Center, in any amount possible. You can make a one time donation, or partner with TMC and sign up for an automated monthly donation.

We accept cash and check donations in the main office.
Thank you for your support!

FEEDBACK FROM PARENTS

After nearly 1.5 years of the pandemic, my child was able to socialize in an emotionally intelligent and carefree environment. He came home happy and exhausted every day. It really changed the tone of these past few months for him.

This program allowed an opportunity to share in a safe space, meet new friends, gain confidence and stretch physical limits.

We cannot say enough positive things about my child’s camp experience with the Mountain Center, and we feel incredibly grateful to you and your staff for making this a great summer camp experience! Your program and your staff have made a huge difference in my child’s life this summer; I am sure that the lessons and guidance will continue to lead and serve them on their journey!

I so appreciate the way my child was encouraged to have fun and just be a kid but also to take care of himself at the same time.
