The Mountain Center has three facilities where we facilitate programs.
Our headquarters in the beautiful village of Tesuque, New Mexico provides both our office space, land and challenges courses. It sits by the Tesuque creek and has wondrous flora and fauna throughout the 3 acres. This property has a rich history and has been home to SFMC for over 37 years. In 2007 we bought the property and lovingly call it home away from home.
Española Integrated Care Center
Our Española office houses our Harm Reduction Program and Healthy Transitions.
Our office is open five days a week Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and offers a variety of services, including syringe exchange, overdose-prevention education and Naloxone, plus food, rapid HIV/HCV counseling and testing and auricular acupuncture (also known as known as AcuDetox).
We share our building with the Santa Fe Recovery Center, who provides both inpatient and outpatient drug treatment programs, detoxification services and Suboxone. Walk-ins are welcome on Thursdays and Fridays. Southwest CARE Center is also on the premises on Tuesdays and Thursdays, offering rapid and confirmatory HIV/HCV testing and access to HCV services and treatment, medical assessment and referrals.
Urban Adventure and Training Center (UATC)
A state of the art climbing gym and training center. The training side of the center is equipped with the latest technology including a 62 inch flat screen TV, projectors, lap top computers, and enough space to accommodate up to 70 people. The UATC is located in the heart of the Santa Fe’s business area. This facility is open for rental on a case by case basis. Please see below for directions, although please note that this facility is not staffed full-time.
We also utilize wilderness areas and rivers throughout New Mexico for our programming.
